Dry Brushing for toxin Elimination

Want to help eliminate toxins , stimulate lymph flow and strengthen the lymph system? What about help remove cellulite? The answer?
Dry Brushing!
A very simple technique that anyone can do. The benefits are amazing!

The skin is the largest most important eliminative organ in the body and is responsible for one quarter of the body's detoxification each day. The skin is known as our third kidney so lets not forget to take care of this wonderful organ because it can be of great bennefit to us.

Did you know that the skin eliminates over one pound of waste acids each day in the average adult, most of it through the sweat glands and that the skin receives one third of all the blood circulated in the body?
The skin is also the last to receive nutrients in the body, yet the first to show signs of imbalance or deficency.
I have experienced eczema on my hands in the past. This can be quite emberasing because I work with my hands. A few months ago I had a bad breakout on my hands and as I was preforming a Foot Renewal one of my clients asked if I had gotten burned. refering to my eczema. I have been able to easily link my diet to the way my hands break out.
Bad food = Bad eczema I found if my body isn't eliminating through the correct channels it will eliminate through another channel...the skin!

Detoxification is performed by a number of organs, glands, and transportation systems, including the skin, gut, kidneys, liver, lungs, lymphatic system, and mucous membranes.Dry brushing is a way to stimulate all the above organs of detoxification because it provides a gentle internal massage.

What You Need To Do Dry Brushing:
To dry brush, use a soft natural fiber brush with a long handle, so that you are able to reach all areas of your body. A loofah sponge or a rough towel can also be used.

How to do Dry Body Brushing

Step 1
Start in the shower with a dry body. Brush the sole of your foot using a light, sweeping stroke that covers the entire sole. Put foot on floor and bend other knee to work on other foot in the same manner.

Step 2
Use long circular sweeping motions and brush gently over the top of one foot and up to the knee. Continue to brush the rest of the leg, making sure to brush all sides of the leg once. Brush other leg.

Step 3
Brush the rest of the leg from the knee to the hip. Brush the rest of the other leg as well.

Step 4
Use light strokes and use a counter-clockwise motion to brush the torso area. then brush the breast area but go very lightly.

Step 5
Brush hands and arms towards the heart.

NOTE: Always go towards the heart to help drain the lymph back to your heart. Stroking away from your heart puts extra pressure on the valves within the veins and lymph vessels and can cause ruptured vessels and varicose veins.

* Skin brushing should be performed once a day, preferably first thing in the morning. A thorough skin brushing takes about 15 minutes. You can also dry brush areas of cellulite five to 10 minutes twice a day to achieve cellulite dissolving, but the technique needs to be done consistently for a minimum of five months.

* Avoid sensitive areas and anywhere the skin is broken such as areas of skin rash, wounds, cuts, and infections. Also, never brush an area affected by poison oak or poison ivy.

* Finish up with your regular shower and ending with three hot and cold cycles. That means turning on the water as hot as you can take it for several seconds, then as cold as you can handle it, then hot, then cold for three cycles. End with either hot or cold. This will further invigorate the skin and stimulate blood circulation, bringing more blood to the outer layers of the skin.

* After getting out of the shower, dry off vigorously and massage your skin with pure plant oils such as olive, avocado, apricot, almond, sesame, coconut or cocoa butter.

* Clean your skin brush using soap and water once a week. After rinsing, dry your skin brush in an open, sunny spot to prevent mildew.

* Any well designed program will take about 30 days to see and experience the changes.
